Relevant experience

 

  • Acquisition and development of sites for student accommodation in Edinburgh and Stirling providing a total of 329 beds for offshore SPV's controlled by a Hong Kong and Singaporean regulated fund manager, and managed onshore through a UK based FCA regulated private equity investment house.
  • Acquisition and development of two sites in Edinburgh for a cumulative 650 bed student development for one of the UK's leading listed developers in the student accommodation sector with an end GDV in excess of GBP 64m.
  • A number of acquisitions for an Edinburgh based residential developer with a primary focus on the acquisition, development and refurbishment of prime Georgian properties to convert back to residential use while incorporating additional new build apartments and mews houses.
  • An offshore SPV managed by an FCA regulated real estate investor in the GBP 14.2m acquisition of a multi let retail park in Aberdeen.
  • A UK institution in the sale of an Edinburgh office for GBP 18m, and a bespoke NHS let laundry in Wishaw for GBP 5.3m.
  • An American fund manager in the provision of finance to an American based developer/operator to build out and operate three student developments in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Sheffield to provide 888 beds with an end GDV of circa GBP105m.
  • A major UK lender in the provision of finance to major UK house builder to build out several residential developments across central Scotland.
  • Management of several shopping centres and office buildings on behalf of both a listed UK REIT and large private property companies.
