Jess is a Partner in our Real Estate Disputes team. Jess is based in Bristol but works across our regional offices. 

Jess has over 10 years’ experience with CMS advising a wide range of clients, including developers, institutional investors, funders, owners and occupiers. Jess acts for clients in a variety of sectors, with a particular specialism in logistics, real estate energy disputes, retail, offices and primary care properties. 

Jess guides clients to commercially focused solutions. Jess is known for her calm and collected style, ruthless efficiency and being a real team player. Jess has received praise from the senior leadership team of a significant logistics client for playing “a pivotal part in building a solid working relationship with our business and integrating us within CMS”.  

Jess has considerable experience dealing with a broad range of landlord and tenant matters, including strategic advice relating to vacant possession strategies, development constraints, opposed and unopposed lease renewals, rent review, easements, service charge disputes, repairing liability, dilapidations and debt recovery options. Jess also has experience in dealing with matters experienced by landowners and energy suppliers. 

Jess established the CMS Bristol office ‘DEIB Forum’, a network to bring together colleagues from across the office where one of CMS’ 13 individual inclusion networks was not individually represented, with the aim of strengthening the feeling of inclusion and belonging for all those working in the Bristol office.
