Juliet has extensive experience defending professional negligence claims against a wide range of professionals, with particular expertise in solicitors, brokers and pension trustees. Juliet regularly provides complex coverage advice to insurer clients in the context of PI, W&I and E&O policies.

A commercially minded lawyer with experience gained from a prior career as a corporate pensions consultant, followed by 15+ years in private practice at CMS and two 12 month claims handling secondment roles at  AIG and Berkley Specialty. 

Relevant experience

  • Defending top City law firms in regulatory investigations and professional negligence claims, including in the context of corporate transactions, loan financing and mortgage fraud.
  • Advising insurers on coverage and monitoring defence counsel in the context of claims against large South American financial institutions.
  • Acting in the defence of M&E engineers in 199 Knightsbridge Development Ltd v WSP UK Ltd [2014] EWHC 43.
