Katy is a Senior Associate in CMS’s planning team in London. She has more than a decade of experience advising in all areas of planning law, from pre-application strategy to post-planning matters. Katy specialises in advising regarding large scale energy and infrastructure projects. This includes the promotion of (and objection to) Development Consent Orders and Compulsory Purchase Orders, including conducting advocacy during examinations.
Katy’s experience spans multiple sectors, including nuclear, hydrogen, offshore wind, interconnectors, and energy from waste. She also has a particular interest in helping the UK to realise the potential of geothermal and is a member of an industry and government coalition which is helping to champion this. Katy also advises high profile clients on their HQ lettings in London, and investors and funders regarding acquiring stakes in various developments across all sectors.
