Leigh McLevy is an associate in the CMS Pensions Team advising various trustee, corporate and local government clients on all aspects of pensions law and regulation. Leigh works closely with clients on large projects particularly in the financial services and infrastructure industries. Leigh provides advice to resolve clients wide ranging pensions issues and has particular experience advising on commercial disputes and litigation. Leigh’s breadth of experience includes: advising trustee clients on the day-to-day administration of schemes, recovery of overpayments, data protection queries and corporate transactions.

Relevant experience

  • Trustees on engagement terms with advisors and actuaries.
  • The Trustees of a DB scheme on administration and governance including advice on winding-up historic schemes.
  • Preparing due diligence reports on large corporate transactions where the pensions liabilities are unclear. 
  • Trustees on the impact of high inflation on pensions benefits and review of scheme administration and rules.
