Miranda is an associate in the pensions teams and joined CMS as a newly qualified solicitor in 2021. Miranda advises trustees and employers of both DB and DC schemes on a wide range of general pensions matters, pensions aspects of corporate transactions and bulk-annuity transactions.

Miranda also advises in relation to contentious matters including litigation and Pensions Ombudsman claims.

Relevant experience

  • The trustees of schemes of various sizes on day-to-day matters, including dealing with member complaints and formal IDRP submissions, queries arising on divorce, and interpretation and application of scheme rules.
  • The trustees of a large multi-sectional hybrid scheme in relation to the preparation of their first TCFD Report.
  • The principal employer of a scheme in relation to its role in the ill-health early retirement process.
  • The Trustees of a household-name retailer on the GBP 650m buy-in of its pension scheme.
