Nicholas is an Associate in the Infrastructure & Projects team at CMS. He qualified into the team after the successful completion of his traineeship with the firm, having gained valuable experience in the transport, renewable energy, finance and construction sectors. 

Relevant experience

  • Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) on the purchase of MV Loch Seaforth from Lloyds Banking Group in 2019.
  • NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on the Design, Construction and Maintenance of new mental health wards at Stobhill, and new health centres at Greenock and Clydebank.
  • Muirhall Energy on the sale of two renewable energy wind farm developments. 
  • Vattenfall UK on a bespoke tree felling services agreement for two prospective large-scale wind farm developments.
  • The sale of a Bahamas-flagged cargo vessel from owner (an international bank SPV co) to long-term charterer; included deregistration from Dutch bareboat flag and unwinding of tax lease structure. 
  • NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on the North East Glasgow Health Centre. 
  • Transport Scotland on the lease of two DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft from Loganair to service the Highlands and Islands lifeline air services.
