Nick Blair is a partner in the Corporate Group, specialising in M&A, debt and equity investments, joint ventures and reorganisations. He advises clients across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure sectors.

Nick has a keen interest in international work and has a strong track record of advising multinational clients on strategic transactions and investments.

Relevant experience

  • GE and Green Investment Group on their acquisition of the 650 MW Markbygden ETT Swedish onshore wind farm 
  • GE and Green Investment Group on the sale of a 75% stake in Markbygden ETT to CGN EE
  • Repsol on the sale of its UK offshore wind power business to SDIC-owned Red Rock Power
  • Kincardine Offshore Windfarm on the sale of a majority stake to Cobra and the related structuring, funding and commercial agreements
  • USS on its acquisition of interests in Redexis Gas and Redexis Gas Finance, a Spanish gas distribution, transmission and supply business from infrastructure funds managed by Goldman Sachs
  • EDP Renováveis on its sale to Engie of a minority stake in the 116 MW Moray Firth offshore wind farm
  • Capital Stage AG, the SDAX-listed solar and wind park investor, on its strategic partnership with Solarcentury
  • Biffa on its investment in the Newhurst energy-from-waste project in Leicestershire alongside Covanta and Green Investment Group
  • SSE on the £326m sale of various street lighting projects to Equitix
  • Acting for one of the world’s largest storage companies on a number of large and highly complex multi-jurisdictional group restructurings.
