Oliver is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure & Project Finance Team.   

During his time at CMS, Oliver has been involved in a broad range of infrastructure and construction projects involving schools, hospitals, university accommodation and general commercial developments. Most recently, Oliver has focused on projects involving clean energy and energy storage.

Relevant experience

  • Statera in respect of the ground investigation contract and the reference design contract for the Loch Kemp pumped storage hydropower scheme.
  • National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Transmission in relation to the converter EPC Contract for Eastern Green Link 1.
  • DIF Capital Partners as Employer on all project documents in relation to their project-financed portfolio of collocated solar and battery assets in the UK, with the first two projects reaching financial close in 2023.
  • Resolv and Low Carbon on negotiations in respect of construction and maintenance agreements in respect of a 460MW onshore wind project in Romania.
  • Pivot Power in relation to the drafting, tendering, negotiation and finalisation of BESS contracts and long-term services agreements for two portfolios of UK battery energy storage projects to be co-located with electric vehicle charging points, totalling 200MW to date.
  • Field Energy on the construction and maintenance contracts in relation to their award-winning project-financed battery storage portfolio in the UK, including: the close of the first portfolio project at Gerrards Cross, England; negotiations in relation to projects at Newport, Wales, Auchteraw, Scotland and Whitebirk, England; and ongoing operational advice.
  • Eku Energy on construction contracts for their battery storage projects in Basildon and Loudwater, UK.
  • SUSI/Eelpower on battery energy storage system contracts and balance of plant contracts in relation to battery storage projects (in construction) at Halesworth and Fordtown, UK.
  • Equitix on  the build, operation and equity financing of a 20-year, 7.75MW waste to energy facility in Bridgwater, Taunton. This entailed advising on a range of project documents, including an EPC Contract, O&M Contract and a fuel supply agreement.
  • The funders on the due diligence of all key project contracts and ancillary documentation in relation to the development of a new solar project in the UK.
