Paul Sweeden is a Senior Associate based in London and is an intellectual property disputes lawyer. He works with clients principally in the fields of tech, fintech and entertainment. Much of his work is focused on advising clients on trade marks, designs and copyright issues, including on brand choice, clearance, global filing strategies, prosecution as well as contentious disputes in the enforcement and protection of those IP rights.

Paul has particular experience of successfully managing complex global trade mark filing and enforcement programmes and is well placed to advise and manage trade mark portfolios in this respect. He also works regularly with start-ups, helping them secure and protect appropriate IP rights in a cost effective manner at the early stages of growth.  Paul has been involved in actions before the UK and European Intellectual Property Offices, English High Court,  Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
