Pete Coyne is a partner in our Pensions practice with over 20 years of experience.

Pete has dealt with all kinds of pensions issues including benefit restructurings, buy-ins and buy-outs, longevity swaps, product design, transactions, investment matters and disputes. He acts for trustees, employers, product providers and benefit consultants across a whole range of pensions issues.

Pete was a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers’ Legislative & Parliamentary Committee for 6 years and subsequently a member of its Main Committee for 4 years.

General Electric on UK pensions issues including the merger of 17 of its UK final salary pension schemes, benefit change projects and many transactions.
Pension Insurance Corporation on many bulk annuity transactions including PPF+ cases, collateralised transactions and those involving the insurance of residual risks.
Trustees on a number of longevity risk transactions and buy-in/buy-outs.
The only reported case on actuarial negligence which was successfully appealed to the Court of Appeal.
Trustees of one of the first schemes to enter a PPF assessment period.
Trustees and employers on asset backed funding structures.
