Rebecca trained at legacy firm Olswang and has a breadth of experience in commercial and regulatory matters for the traditional and digital media sectors and wider industries. She works for a range of TV, film, publishing, advertising, music, fashion and sports clients including the BBC, BBC Studios, BT, Paramount, Amazon Music, Audible, Dentsu Aegis Network, NBCUniversal, Burda Media, Centre for Fashion Enterprise, the International Cricket Council and Chelsea FC. She has also been seconded to key media clients including Amazon Music, BT TV and Sport and Dentsu Aegis Network.

Rebecca was selected to join the British Screen Forum’s Future Leaders’ programme and is also a member of industry body Women in Film & Television. She sits on the business development board of the Ovarian Cancer Action charity and is a Charity Committee member and pro-bono champion at CMS. Rebecca is also a member of The Lawyer’s Circle (a collective within The Circle NGO) and was a contributing author to the report “Fashion Focus: The Fundamental Right to a Living Wage”.

Relevant experience

  • A long term global content partnership between BBC Studios and Discovery to power its new global streaming service.
  • BBC’s strategic partnership with ITV to launch Britbox, a new streaming service for UK audiences offering access to the best of British TV.
  • The International Cricket Council’s digital content rights tender process, leading to a ground-breaking partnership with Facebook which will become the exclusive digital content rights partner for ICC global events in the Indian sub-continent and will also carry post-match recaps throughout the rest of the world from 2019 through to 2023.
  • BT’s multi-year cross-supply deal with Sky enabling BT to market and sell Sky’s NOW TV service to its customers.
  • Carriage negotiations, EPG deals, regulatory issues and corporate partnerships for Viacom (MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Channel 5).
