Samantha is an Associate (Chartered Trade Mark Attorney) in the IP Team, joining CMS in September 2021. She has almost 10 years of IP experience and advises on a variety of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, including trade marks, designs and copyright. Samantha has extensive experience managing large global trade mark portfolios for high profile brands (including both FTSE 100 and Fortune 500), particularly in the automotive, technology, media and financial sectors. She also advises SMEs, start-ups and charities across a range of sectors.

Samantha’s practice includes advising clients on filing strategies, portfolio management, conducting and advising on clearance searches and in relation to watch notices. She also has experience in contentious trade mark proceedings, including filing and prosecuting oppositions, cancellation and invalidity proceedings before the UK Intellectual Property Office.
