Steven is a partner in the Real Estate Team. He acts for a variety of institutional, foreign and private investors across a varied range of investment and development transactions.

Steven has a wide variety of experience in the student accommodation sector acting for clients including CPPIB/Liberty Living, GSA, Urbanest and UNITE. He recently acted on CPPIB's acquisition of the Liberty Living student accommodation portfolio and operating platform for c£1.1billion, as well as the GSA and GIC acquisition of The Student Housing Company portfolio, respectively the largest student accommodation deals in the UK in 2015 and 2016.

Relevant experience

  • Columbia Threadneedle funds on a number of investment acquisitions (both funded and unfunded) and disposals of various industrial/office/retail properties throughout the UK, including several portfolios.
  • Acquisition and development pre-lets of a number of high-profile City office developments.
  • A client on the acquisition of a five shopping centre portfolio with a value of £200+million.
  • BNP Paribas on the development, pre-letting and forward sale of a high profile building in King's Cross.
  • Various clients on reviewing and negotiating the release of rights of light on City developments.
