Susie is a Partner in the CMS Energy and Infrastructure Team. She is a leading voice in the UK energy sector with 20 years experience in legal and leadership roles across the industry, including Director roles at a state owned utility to Managing Director of a private equity backed developer.  Her experience spans development, construction, operation and decommissioning of large projects including onshore wind, offshore (including deepwater and floating) wind, solar, battery and nuclear.

She plays an active part in the UK energy sector and is non-executive Director of the two major renewable trade associations in the UK; Scottish Renewables and Renewable UK. Until 2025, she was Vice Chair to Secretary of State Ed Miliband on the Offshore Wind Industry Council.

Susie advises utilities, generators, developers and funders on large or innovative energy projects, with a particular focus on wind. She has a direct, practical approach, informed by her deep understanding and roles within the industry.
