 Taylor is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team. She has extensive experience acting for clients in commercial disputes and regulatory investigations and proceedings. Her broad experience encompasses contractual disputes, corporations and financial services law, class actions and trade practices litigation. Taylor has acted for a range of clients including publicly listed and major private corporations, government agencies and individuals. Before joining CMS, Taylor was a Senior Associate in the Commercial Litigation team at Clayton Utz in Melbourne, Australia, where she worked on large scale litigation and regulatory investigations across multiple Australian jurisdictions.

Relevant experience

  • ASIC in a seven-week civil penalty proceedings trial in the Federal Court of Australia against Union Standard Group Pty Ltd and its two corporate authorised representatives (2023). Taylor started working on this matter at its investigatory stage and continued to work on this matter throughout its course, including on various interlocutory disputes (2019-2023).
  • Investigations: acted for numerous listed companies and directors in relation to regulatory investigations and internal investigations.
  • Major corporations defend various contractual disputes.
  • Myer in a range of matters including significant leasing disputes with landlords.
  • Suez SA and associated directors oppose a Federal Court application to prevent a USD 2.52bn sale of waste management businesses. 
  • Toyota in defence of a class action in relation to the Diesel Particulate Filter.
