Tom Holloway is an Associate in the Finance Disputes team at CMS Bristol, specialising in consumer credit disputes, debt recovery, and bulk litigation. Tom has many years of experience in litigation, with a particular speciality in handling volume claims brought against financial institutions and managing bulk litigation projects.

Tom provides a personal service and always looks for opportunities to work with clients with an appreciation for governance and stakeholder concerns. Tom has spent time on secondment to a major retail bank’s in-house legal team and maintains an interest in helping clients manage risk.

  • A review of a major UK financial institution’s exposure and liability in respect of alleged fraudulent activities by its asset managers, including support in respect of an FCA investigation.

  • A major UK retain bank seeking to recover losses from insurers of professional service firms.
  • An international investment platform seeking to recover debts in respect of bond agreements from UK based companies and individuals.
  • An international financial institution seeking advice on cross-jurisdiction concerns relating to enforceability of pledges and guarantees.
  • An international airline in respect of volume claims brought by its passenger in the UK.
