Finance Disputes

Our Finance Disputes team at CMS consists of litigation and international arbitration specialists within our 20-Partner market leading Financial Services & Regulatory team operating out of offices in London, Bristol and Scotland.

The team prides itself on being responsive, focused on achieving solutions for clients in an effective and efficient way, supported by the latest technology.

Finance Dispute lawyers with varied financial services experience

Being part of the wider Financial Services & Regulatory team means our Finance Disputes lawyers are fully aligned with our non-contentious sector specialists and are involved with contentious matters from an early stage. Many of the team have spent time working in-house within the financial services sector.

The team acts for a diverse range of clients across the financial services sector including:

  • domestic and international banks (investment, retail, private and challenger),
  • hedge funds,
  • asset managers,
  • FinTech companies.

The team also regularly assists domestic and international corporates solve their finance-related disputes and also works with insolvency practitioners.

Our Finance Disputes lawyers help clients to navigate complex and high value disputes regarding financial products (including structured products), cross-border disputes, civil fraud, professional negligence, insolvency related litigation and advise on seeking urgent interim relief (including freezing orders). The team also has a focus on FinTech Disputes and Risk Management.
