Tom is a senior associate in our Real Estate group having trained with the firm and qualified in 2017. He deals with a wide variety of commercial real estate matters, including sales and purchases, asset management and development (including rights of light). His expertise spans a range of sectors including office, retail and mixed use.

Tom’s clients include institutional investors such as Landsec, Great Portland Estates and Blue Coast Capital, as well as the British Steel and National Grid Pension Funds. Tom also regularly acts for overseas investors on high value acquisitions predominantly in London. Most recently he has acted for Great Portland Estates on its successful refurbishment and letting of Elsley House and Elsley Court in Fitzrovia, Grosvenor London Office Fund on its management of Belgrave House in Victoria and Goldstone Commercial on its acquisition and subsequent management of 55 Mark Lane in the City of London. 

Tom is a member of the Proptech group at CMS.

  • A private Hong Kong investor on the acquisition of 20 Canada Square for circa £410m. 
  • A private Hong Kong investor on the acquisition of 55 Mark Lane for circa £130m, and the subsequent refinancing and ongoing asset management. 
  • Credit Suisse on the acquisition of a number of City assets including Pilgrim Street for circa £80m, and the subsequent refinancing. 
  • Landsec on various acquisitions and disposals and its ongoing letting and management of key City and West End assets and its Retail Warehouse portfolio.  
  • Great Portland Estates across its portfolio including its refurbishment and subsequent re-letting of Elsley House and Elsey Court in Fitzrovia.  
  • Grosvenor London Office Fund on its ongoing letting and management of Belgrave House in Victoria. 
  • Blue Coast Capital across its London and Regional portfolio, including the development and subsequent letting of Bell Court Shopping Centre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
