Will specialises in the financing of energy projects, with particular focus on renewable energy, and he regularly advises sponsors, project companies, senior lenders and ECAs. Will trained and qualified with Slaughter and May in London and has been with CMS since 2013.

  • Santander, NordLB, UniCredit, Rabobank and SMBC as lenders for the EUR 310,000,000 project financing of Nordic Renewable Power AB to fund a portfolio of onshore wind farms in Sweden and Norway.
  • Crédit Agricole, KfW IPEX and Denmark’s Export Credit Agency EKF as creditors in relation to the project financing of the 235MW Länsterhöjden & Storflötten onshore wind farms in Sweden, developed by Macquarie.
  • Macquarie and GE in relation to the project financing (commercial bank, EIB, ECA) of the 650MW Markbyden onshore wind farm in Sweden.
  • Centrica, Siemens Project Ventures and Ørsted on the development and project financing of the 270MW Lincs UK offshore wind farm.

  • Equinor, Masdar and Statkraft as sponsors of Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited on the financing aspects of the sale of transmission assets of the 402MW Dudgeon UK offshore wind farm as part of the OFTO process.
  • GCP Infrastructure Investments as senior lender in respect of the project financing of the entire renewable energy portfolio of Good Energy PLC, comprising UK solar and onshore wind assets.
  • GCP Infrastructure Investments in relation to its acquisition of a 135MW UK solar portfolio. 
  • Wircon GmbH and Wirsol Energy Limited in relation to the project financing of a portfolio of 20 UK solar projects.  
  • SSE in relation to the financing arrangements and equity sell down for the 522MW Clyde UK onshore wind farm.
