International law firm CMS has advised Bank of Ireland (BoI) on its £104m part-funding of the acquisition by Hana Property Holdings S.à r.l of the entire issued share capital of Wood Grafton One, owner of the iconic One Poultry building in the City of London.

The Grade II* listed One Poultry encompasses 151,000 sq ft above Bank Underground Station in the heart of the City. It has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to accommodate global co-working company WeWork in a move which reflects the changing nature of City occupiers from traditional financial services to the next generation of creative businesses.

The CMS team was led by Real Estate Finance partner Andrew Besser, with support from senior associates Bruce Gavin, Eleanor Abbott and paralegal Sara Danso (Banking); partner Melissa Brett and trainee Miles Pope (Property); partner David Parton, associate Louise Forbes and associate Joe Bennett (Construction); and partner Graham Chase and associate Richard Taylor (Tax). The CMS Luxembourg Banking & Finance team also assisted on the matter and included partner and Head of Banking & Finance Vivian Walry, associate Julien Gerique and senior associate Nicolas Gerique.
