FCA: CP25/25: Application of FCA Handbook for regulated cryptoasset activities
FCA is seeking feedback on proposals on the minimum standards crypto firms will need to comply with, specifically on how existing FCA Handbook rules will apply to firms, including High Level Standards such as SYSC and Business Standards, guidance on cryptoasset operational resilience and the application of the ESG Sourcebook to cryptoasset firms. Two discussion chapters consider (i) the Consumer Duty and application of FOS under the new cryptoasset regime and (ii) FCA’s proposed approach to COBS and PROD in relation to cryptoasset firms. Responses are required by 12 November 2025 for the consultation part of the paper and 15 October 2025 for feedback on the discussion element of the paper.
