Stuttgart, 21.11.2024 – Private equity firm BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft has sold its stake in Rixius AG to Berlin Packaging, one of the world’s largest providers of hybrid packaging. BWK has held an equity interest in Rixius for 17 years, during which time it played a key role in the development of the company.
A team headed by lead partner Dr Claus-Peter Fabian advised BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft on all legal aspects of the transaction. Details of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is awaiting approval from the competition authorities.

Established 145 years ago, Rixius AG has evolved from a traditional packaging wholesaler into a hybrid packaging provider, specialising in containers and caps made of glass, plastic and metal.
