CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Morocco advises the banks financing Blackstone's acquisition of Mivisa

The Casablanca office of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre has advised the consortium of banks made up of Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital, on granting a credit line of €667.5m to finance the acquisition, by US private equity fund Blackstone, of the Spanish group Mivisa, which produces and sells metal food containers.

The CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Morocco team, led by Wilfried Le Bihan (Associate and Head of the Casablanca Office) assisted by Amina Chaouni (Junior Lawyer) and Johan Bruneau (Senior Lawyer), was instructed on the Moroccan aspects of the finance documentation, in particular bank finance guarantees given by Mivisa's Moroccan subsidiary, and on its securities.

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Morocco worked in collaboration with the London and Madrid offices of Latham & Watkins.

The Blackstone fund was advised by Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP (London), and by Jeantet et Associés Morocco as to the Moroccan law aspects.
