CMS advises Greek technology company Sunlight Group on acquisition of 51% of A. Müller GmbH

Berlin – Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems (Sunlight Group), a technology company specializing in integrated and innovative industrial and off-road energy storage solutions, acquires 51% of the share capital of A. Müller GmbH Industriebatterien-Stromversorgungssysteme. 

A CMS team led by Dr Igor Stenzel and Ralf Kurney advised Sunlight Group on all legal aspects of the acquisition. The team was assisted in the Netherlands by Mark Ziekman, Robin Sijbesma and Robert Jong of CMS Netherlands and in Denmark by Niels Kornerup and Emil Dencker Steenberg of Bech-Bruun.

A. Müller GmbH is a wholesale trader of batteries, power supply systems, charging technology and accessories, as well as a qualified specialist for the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries. The Company operates in five locations in Germany and has a sales and operations network covering the Netherlands, Denmark, Luxembourg, and the UK. The previous sole owner of Müller Anlagen GmbH & Co., Mr. Erik Müller, retains 49% of the company and the position of Managing Director. 

With the acquisition, Sunlight Group strengthens its sales and services network to better serve the European markets, especially regarding lithium-ion products. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed.
