Hamburg – Union Investment has acquired the Mercado shopping centre in Nuremberg, comprising around 43,500 square metres, and the Le Befane centre in the Italian city of Rimini, which offers 35,500 square metres of space. The vendor is Credit Suisse Asset Management Immobilien KAG. Together with the Rathaus Galerie mall in Leverkusen, the two properties form part of the Melody portfolio, which Union Investment agreed to buy in December 2016. The properties were formerly held by Credit Suisse AG’s CS EUROREAL fund, which is being wound up. The purchase price was not disclosed.
An international CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Sebastian Orthmann advised Union Investment on all legal aspects related to the acquisition of the Melody portfolio.
