Join speakers including experts from the CMS Financial Services Regulatory team, Tharishni Arumugam, Global Privacy Technology & Operations Director at Aon, John Bowman, AI Ethics Market Strategy Lead at IBM and Simon Man, former General Counsel at Deutsche Bank to discuss the increasing use of AI in financial services.

Our panel will explore how financial institutions are implementing AI in practice, the application of legal, regulatory and ethical frameworks to AI, and potential challenges for firms and regulators. It promises to be an interesting discussion, with an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and share insights.

Tharishni is an expert in data protection and privacy with over a decade advising multinational businesses navigate the complexities of privacy and data protection regulation globally. Tharishni is also part of the AI Governance leadership at Aon, where she assists in shaping and implementing Aon's inaugural AI Governance program.

John Bowman
AI Ethics Market Strategy Lead | IBM

John is a member of IBM's Office of Privacy and Responsible Technology. His role includes advising on enhancements to support regulatory compliance, helping to create a deployment framework, and commercialisation of select IBM OPRT assets. He was previously the UK government’s lead negotiator on the EU GDPR.

Simon has held a number of roles at Deutsche Bank, including formerly as General Counsel for the UK and Ireland. Simon has previously worked in Deutsche Bank's investment banking, AM and WM divisions, and in regulatory implementation, and investigation and litigation.
