EU draft directive on financial collateral arrangements - a brief update

On 5 October last year, we reported on the progress of the EU draft directive on financial collateral arrangements. The Council of the EU has now adopted a common position on the directive in a form which has not substantially changed; this is now being sent to the European Parliament for second reading. It is conceivable, though not certain, that it may be adopted in the summer.
