International law firm CMS has advised premier global brand management company Iconix International (“Iconix”) on its majority acquisition of leading British streetwear brand Hoodrich.
Iconix owns a portfolio of almost 30 brands across fashion, sports, entertainment, and home, including Lee Cooper, Umbro, Ed Hardy and Starter. The acquisition will see Hoodrich founder Jay Williams retain a minority interest in his brand.

Hoodrich and Jay’s story is remarkable, starting from selling T-shirts from the boot of Jay’s car to becoming one of the leading British streetwear brands.
