CMS advises Send Technology Solutions on acquisition by Duck Creek Technologies
CMS has advised Send Technology Solutions Ltd on its acquisition by Duck Creek Technologies, the intelligent core of insurance, creating the industry’s first agentic underwriting-to-core platform.
Send is a leading AI-native underwriting orchestration engine for commercial, specialty and complex risk markets, supporting more than USD 26bn in Gross Written Premium through its platform. Duck Creek serves hundreds of property and casualty (P&C) insurers globally, including more than half of the top 20 global P&C carriers.
The acquisition brings together Duck Creek’s intelligent core and agentic AI platform with Send’s AI-native orchestration engine, creating a unified platform designed to redefine end-to-end underwriting for commercial, specialty and London Market insurers. Send’s platform has already delivered measurable impact for insurers, including up to seven times faster time-to-quote and up to a 65% reduction in product launch time.
Send will continue to be available as a standalone underwriting orchestration engine, while benefiting from deeper integration with Duck Creek’s Intelligent Insurance Cloud and Agentic AI Platform. Andy Moss, Send’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, will continue to lead the Send team at Duck Creek as General Manager of Underwriting. Solano Partners acted as exclusive financial adviser to Send.
Commenting on the transaction, Tom Jameson, Partner at CMS, said: “We’re delighted to have supported Send and its founders on this landmark transaction. The deal reflects the strength of Send’s technology platform and the vision of its leadership team. Bringing together Send’s underwriting orchestration capabilities with Duck Creek’s intelligent core creates a compelling proposition for the global insurance market, and we wish both teams every success as they continue to innovate together.”
Andy Moss, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Send, commented: “CMS provided outstanding legal counsel throughout this process. Tom Jameson, Lauren Wood and their team demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and the insurance technology landscape, providing pragmatic, commercial advice at every stage. Their responsiveness, attention to detail and commitment to achieving the best outcome for Send were exceptional, and we are grateful for their guidance in bringing this transaction to a successful completion.”
