CMS strengthens Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Disputes team with partner hire

International law firm CMS has appointed Philip Norman as a Partner in the firm’s Infrastructure, Construction and Energy (ICE) Disputes Team in London, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa.

Philip has almost 30 years’ experience in international disputes resolution and arbitration. He specialises in the resolution of high-value and complex disputes in the energy, power, infrastructure, construction, utilities, and natural resources sector. Philip is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Adrian Bell, Co-head of the CMS ICE Disputes Group and Joint Managing Director for Asia and the Middle East, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Philip to the team. He brings a wealth of expertise handling large arbitrations. He has spent many years of his career in the Middle East, which continues to be a strategic region for the firm.
