Brynn Horner is a Partner in the London Corporate team, specialising in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Brynn advises a broad range of clients, including utilities, developers and funds and financial investors on M&A, equity investments and joint ventures in relation to UK, European and international renewable energy and infrastructure assets.

Brynn also has extensive expertise in the W&I sector, having previously worked in W&I advisory for energy and infrastructure transactions.

Relevant experience

  • Equinor on the sale of 50% of its interests in the Empire Wind and Beacon Wind assets on the US east coast to BP for a total consideration of $1.1bn and the strategic partnership with BP to pursue future US offshore wind opportunities.
  • The Renewables Infrastructure Group on the acquisition from Global Infrastructure Partners of a 25% interest in the 330 MW Gode Wind 1 offshore wind farm located in the German North Sea and the entry into a shareholders’ agreement with Glennmont Partners in respect of their combined 50% stake in the underlying Gode Wind 1 joint venture with Ørsted.
  • The Renewable Infrastructure Group Limited and Equitix on the acquisition of a 25% interest in the 1.2GW Hornsea One wind farm in the English North Sea from the Green Investment Group and entry into the shareholders’ agreement with various financial investors in respect of their combined 50% stake in the underlying project joint venture with Ørsted.
  • The Renewable Infrastructure Group Limited and a consortium investor on the acquisition of a 20% interest in the 714MW East Anglia One wind farm in the English North Sea from Green Investment Group.
  • InfraRed Capital Partners and the management team on their sale of the UK energy infrastructure developer Statera Energy to EQT.
  • Low Carbon Investment Management on its agreement to acquire three development stage onshore windfarms in Romania with a with a total installed capacity of 1GW, from Nero Renewables BV.
  • Dalmore Capital Limited and GLIL Infrastructure LLP on their acquisition of a 15% stake in Anglian Water Group plc from 3i. Anglian Water manages water and water recycling services in the East of England and Hartlepool, and is the largest water and sewerage company in England and Wales by geographic area.
  • John Laing Infrastructure Fund on its takeover by a consortium led by Dalmore Capital and Equitix Investment Management Limited, effected by way of a court approved scheme of arrangement.
  • Marguerite in relation to the divestment of a 29% interest in Conexus Baltic Grid, a Latvian unified natural gas transmission and storage operator to MM Capital Infrastructure.
  • SSE plc on the agreement to sell it’s 33.3% interest in Scotia Gas Networks Ltd to a consortium comprising OTTPB and Brookfield. SGN includes Scotland Gas Networks plc and Southern Gas Networks plc, two of the eight regulated gas distribution networks in England, Wales and Scotland.
