Dipesh Santilale is a Corporate partner advising private equity sponsors, investors, international businesses and management teams on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, disposals, strategic joint ventures and group reorganisations.

He has extensive experience in the private equity sector having acted for a number of UK and international sponsors, management teams and lenders, in particular in the financial services and technology sectors.

Dipesh regularly advises UK and European banks on restructurings of their businesses and balance sheets, including portfolio disposals, as well as providing advice on corporate governance and regulatory issues.

He also regularly advises investors and operators in the real estate sector, advising on investments, joint ventures, restructuring and M&A processes of real estate investors and advisers.

  • Parmenion Capital Partners on its restructuring and acquisition by Aberdeen Asset Management plc.
  • AnaCap on the acquisitions of a number of banks and financial services businesses including in the UK, the Czech Republic and Malta and various capital raisings and reorganisations.  
  • AnaCap on the sale to JC Flowers of Cabot Credit Management, UK’s leading consumer debt acquisition and management firm and the sale of Syscap, a leading UK SME finance provider.
  • Trainline on the  sale and re-investment aspects of the acquisition of the business by KKR from Exponent.
  • National Australia Group on strategic M&A, restructuring and demerger processes and the reorganisation and disposal of its UK CRE portfolio and ongoing corporate/regulatory advice.
  • Kaupthing on the restructuring of the La Tasca restaurant chain and sale to Casual Dining Group.
  • Savills plc on the restructuring of its international fund management division and of Savills UK, on the acquisitions of Studley (US), the Smiths Gore partnership and on other international joint ventures.
  • Qatar National Bank in relation to its joint venture development and financing arrangements relating to the Shard and investments in other prominent London and European real estate assets.
  • RBS, Deutsche Bank, Lloyds Bank and AIB on a number of UK borrower debt and equity capital restructurings, including of Robert Dyas and Barracuda pubs.
  • Vantage Airports Group on the restricting and sale of Liverpool Airport to its joint venture partner Peel Hunt.
