Hattie is a Senior Associate in the Employment team in London. She advises on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.

Hattie has particular expertise in handling complex, sensitive and/or large scale investigations. She is also experienced in advising clients on day-to-day HR queries, Employment Tribunal litigation, business reorganisations/redundancies, disciplinary and grievance processes, and the employment aspects of corporate transactions. 

Hattie works across a range of sectors, including Tech and Media, Financial Services and Life Sciences businesses. 

Hattie spent six months on secondment as Head of the Complaints Handling Unit at a leading media company. In that role she was responsible for managing, investigating and addressing complaints and concerns, particularly those involving talent, programme participants and third party production companies. 

Relevant experience

  • A media business in respect of a complex external investigation and subsequent Employment Tribunal proceedings.  
  • Media clients with the set up and management of their “speak up” arrangements, including drafting policy documents, providing training and advising on investigation governance arrangements.
  • Regulated businesses on complex ER issues, including contentious disciplinary and sensitive grievance processes and senior exits.
  • A global financial services firm in respect of a high-value whistleblowing and discrimination claim and appeal proceedings.
  • A range of clients on business restructures/reorganisations and collective redundancy procedures.
  • Seconded as Head of the Complaints Handling Unit at a leading media business, advising on workplace investigations and on the handling of complaints and concerns, particularly those involving talent, programme participants and third party production companies.
