Isabel is an associate in the Planning team in London, having qualified in August 2021. Her practice spans all matters of planning law, with experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters including drafting and negotiating complex planning and highway agreements, due diligence for investors and developers, and providing strategic advice on heritage, environmental assessment, compulsory purchase, and neighbourhood development planning matters. Her clients include major development and property investment companies, housebuilders, energy providers and infrastructure companies. 

Isabel has a particular interest in environmental sustainability within the built environment, with a professional focus on the implementation of mandatory biodiversity net gain and renewable energy projects. 

Relevant experience

  • Mitsubishi Estate on the redevelopment of ITV’s former Southbank headquarters, called-in by the Secretary of State. 
    EDF Energy in relation to their nuclear decommissioning strategy. 
  • Quintain on the Wembley Park regeneration scheme, the UK’s largest PRS project. 
  • Various clients on highways matters, including street works, stopping up and section 278 agreements.
  • Various clients on compulsory purchase matters, via both GVD and NTT procedures.
