John is a consultant in our Pensions Team in the North of England and advises on all areas of contentious and non-contentious pension law. John advises schemes ranging in size from £1 million up to £10 billion in assets. He advises trustees and companies and has recently advised on cross-border pension issues, transfers of schemes assets to a number of master trusts and on scheme closures and consultation exercises.

John is a recognised national authority on public service pension schemes and has advised Government Departments and Agencies, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, Local Authorities and private sector organisations dealing with such bodies on issues as diverse as the liability for last man standing obligations and applications for admission to the public service pension schemes.
