Laura is a Senior Associate in the Employment team. She advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious legal matters, acting for both employers and senior level employees. In addition, Laura regularly provides support to HR teams in an advisory capacity.

Laura has experience of assisting on complex, high-value employment disputes, which includes acting on employment tribunal and High Court proceedings, for clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, aviation, facilities management, technology and entertainment, and energy. 

Laura also has a keen interest and expertise in participating and advising on sensitive employment investigations.

Relevant experience

  • Leading an investigation into sensitive allegations of discrimination against the senior executive management team of a financial services PLC. This included interviewing the most senior individuals within the organsiation and presenting the investigation findings to a Non-Executive Director.
  • On a highly sensitive and complex employment dispute involving the PLC client's board of directors and senior executive management team. The matter involved advising on the defence of whistleblowing and race discrimination claims and alleged regulatory breaches.
  • In partnership with a leading US firm, formed part of a co-counsel team advising on an investigation into allegations of illegal drug related activity by regulated individuals. This included advising on strategy and actions arising from the investigation findings, including working with Non-Executive Directors in relation to disciplinary action and regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Regularly defends complex Employment Tribunal claims for a global professional services firm. Her role includes providing stragetic legal and commercial advice to the client throughout the litigation.
