Lucy is an Associate in the London ICE (Infrastructure, Construction, and Energy) Disputes team. She recently qualified as a solicitor in August 2024 following completion of her two-year training contract with the firm.

Lucy has been able to assist with a number of cross-border disputes in the energy, construction and infrastructure sectors. She has helped advise major energy and construction companies on both international and domestic disputes and has gained experience of different forms of dispute resolution including arbitration, litigation and adjudication.

Relevant experience

  • A coal trading company in a SIAC arbitration concerning disputes arising out of a sale of steam coal from Indonesia.
  • A major international construction company in litigation concerning structural defects in a residential development.
  • An Employer on issues relating to defects and delays arising in relation to a JCT construction contract.
  • An Israeli independent power producer in an ICC arbitration seated in London, concerning the termination of a gas sale and purchase agreement.
  • An appellant in an appeal to the Supreme Court which considered a number of issues of significance arising out of the new Building Safety Act.
  • Waldorf CNS (II) Limited, an oil & gas company, on a dispute regarding the correct interpretation of ‘Deductible Costs’ under a Deed of Grant of Overriding Royalty Interest in place between the parties, resolved by summary judgment (Walter Oil & Gas UK LLP v Waldorf CNS (II) Limited [2024] EWHC 3183 (Comm)).
