Nadia Latti is a Partner in CMS’ Litigation & Arbitration team and specialises in civil fraud and technology disputes. She has experience in dealing with complex and high stakes disputes, frequently with cross-border elements, across litigation and arbitration. She advises clients on all aspects of commercial dispute resolution, including contractual disputes, fraud and asset tracing and media and telecommunications disputes. Nadia is also co-leader of CMS Global Games Group (G3), which is focused on the gaming and esports sector.

Prior to joining CMS in London, Nadia was at a top-tier Australian law firm where she advised blue chip and government clients on a range of commercial disputes and regulatory matters. Nadia is admitted in New South Wales and Australia (federal) and a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales.

  • McGaughey & Anor v Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd & Anor [2022] EWHC 1233 (Ch) and McGaughey & Anor v Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd & Ors [2023] EWCA Civ 873.  Acting for USSL in successfully defending against a derivative claim being brought against directors for breach of duties including in respect of climate change action.  Listed as a Top 10 Appeal for 2023 by The Lawyer.
  • Koldyreva v Motylev & Ors [2020] EWHC 3084 (Ch) and Koldyreva v Motylev & Ors [2020] EWHC 3083 (Ch).  Acting for a foreign financial manager of a bankruptcy estate in obtaining a worldwide freezing order, search orders, Norwich Pharmacal orders and ancillary relief.  
  • Trustees in bankruptcy on a complex cross-border insolvency, with proceedings in multiple jurisdictions including England & Wales, Switzerland, USA, Cyprus, BVI and elsewhere.  
  • A cryptocurrency exchange in relation to a consumer class action (confidential).
  • A technology start-up on an internal fraud, including obtaining freezing and proprietary injunctions.
  • A financial institution on an internal fraud, including obtaining Norwich Pharmacal orders.
  • LCIA arbitration in the telecommunications sector on a contractual dispute regarding the termination of an agreement for equipment and services involving detailed expert evidence.  Acting for a major overseas telecommunication services supplier.
  • ICC arbitration in the lifesciences sector on a contractual dispute between a pharmaceutical manufacturer and distributor.  Acting for a Canadian distributor against a listed Indian company.
  • A UK household-name media company on resolving contractual disputes confidentially while maintaining long term commercial relationships.
