Toby is Counsel in the Infrastructure & Project Finance Group based in the London office. Toby has worked on projects in a variety of aspects of the renewable energy sector, road and light rail sectors, and healthcare sector in the UK and internationally.

Relevant experience

Silvertown Tunnel PPP, UK: advised the construction joint venture in relation to the operation of the construction contract.
D4/R7 Highway PPP, Slovakia: advised a consortium of Iridium, Hochtief and DIF in relation to all aspects of their bid as sponsors for a road project in Slovakia, including negotiation of the project agreement and key sub contracts.
DIF Capital Partners on its acquisition of a greenfield portfolio of ready-to-build co-located solar and battery storage projects from Enso Green Holdings Limited (EGHL), in partnership with ib vogt.
Octopus Investments on the acquisition of four wind farms totalling 150MW of generation from Blue Energy.
Aviva Infrastructure Fund on the acquisition of four windfarms from RES (operational and in construction)
Mersey Gateway PPP road project, UK: advising a joint venture of Kier, FCC and Samsung in relation to a bid for this road project.
NET Phase 2 tram project, UK: providing support for ongoing work in relation to this tram PPP project.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on Romania’s first non-recourse onshore wind farm project.
IFC on behalf of the Government of Albania in relation to all legal aspects of the running of the bid for a road project in Albania including work on the drafting of the project agreement and representation of the Government of Albania on the legal aspects of the deal at bidder negotiations.
Consortium of Iridium, Hochtief and DIF in relation to all aspects of their bid as sponsors for a road project in Slovakia, including negotiation of the project agreement and key sub-contracts.
