Will is an associate in the Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Disputes team based in London. Will’s dispute resolution experience includes international commercial arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC and ICDR rules in the energy and construction sectors in addition to public law litigation experience in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Will also has significant project advisory experience having undertaken part time secondments with a client in the data centre sector.

Relevant experience

  • An international infrastructure group in relation to unpaid amounts and variations under an EPC contract for a desalination plant in the Middle East.
  • Octopus Energy in relation to judicial proceedings before the High Court and the Court of Appeal in relation to the purchase of Bulb Energy (R (British Gas Trading Ltd) v Secretary of State for Energy Security and New Zero) [2025] EWCA Civ 209 and R (British Gas Trading Ltd) v Secretary of State for Energy Security and New Zero) [2023] EWHC 737 (Admin).
  • A data centre developer and operator in relation to various disputes and in a project advisory capacity on part time secondments.
  • A multinational oil and gas company in two separate ICC arbitrations against sub-contractors in relation to an exploration and development project in a francophone Africa.
  • An international drilling contractor in an ad hoc arbitration under the UNCITRAL rules against its employer in relation to the termination of a drilling contract under force majeure provisions.
  • An Israeli independent power producer in an ICC arbitration governed by Israeli law concerning the termination of a gas sale and purchase agreement.
  • A Brazilian oil and gas company in an LCIA arbitration against an oil services provider in relation to performance under service and charter agreements.
  • An Israeli independent power producer in an ICC arbitration related to the construction of a co-generation power plant, including issues related to defect rectification, delay and plant performance.
  • A Spanish EPC contractor in an ICC arbitration related to delay damages and calling of a performance bond in relation to a biomass powered energy plant.
  • An international infrastructure group in multiple adjudication proceedings against a subcontractor in relation to repudiatory termination, defects and further construction issues.
