If you weren’t a lawyer, how would you earn your living?
In my mind, I’d be something like part-time astronaut, part-time special forces, part-time rock star. In reality, anyone who knows me would say I’d be something sensible, like an engineer.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
One of my old bosses liked to say, “Play like a champion.” To me this means having a positive attitude and taking ownership of what you do. He’s now the Senior Partner at Linklaters so I guess it’s been good advice for him.
