The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) has included a new section on ESG risks

June 2023

The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) has included a new section on ESG risks in its information brochure on "Risks Involved in Trading Financial Instruments". This new section supplements the November 2019 edition of this brochure intended to be communicated to clients.

The revised information includes the common definition of "ESG" and a description of each risk (i.e. environmental, social and governance risks). Environmental risks, including climate liability and litigation risks, are mentioned as factors that can have a negative impact on a company's value.
