Cologne – Kapital 1852 SCS SICAV-SIF Equity Invest IV MidCapPlus, a fund managed by private equity firm Kapital 1852 Beratungs GmbH, has acquired a majority stake in SPRiNTUS GmbH. Based in Welzheim, the target is a leading German manufacturer of electrical and battery-operated cleaning appliances and manual cleaning equipment aimed primarily at professional users. Kapital 1852 and the SPRiNTUS management team intend to work together on driving international expansion by gaining new partners and strengthening the international sales team. The product portfolio will also be expanded on an ongoing basis. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by Laura Christin Stein and Christoph Schröer advised Kapital 1852, an independent private markets investment manager which is part of Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe Privatbank AG, on all legal aspects of the majority investment.
