Stuttgart – KK Wind Solutions has acquired ConverterTec Deutschland GmbH’s R&D team and its IP portfolio. With the acquisition, KK Wind Solutions strengthens its own research and development department and will establish a centre of excellence for power conversion in Germany. The involved parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction.
An international CMS team headed by Dr Jochen Lamb and Dr Carolin Armbruster advised KK Wind Solutions on all legal aspects of the transaction. The advice included complex IP and labour law issues in Germany and Poland.
KK Wind Solutions is building on more than 40 years of experience in electrical systems for wind. The capabilities cover the development of state-of-the-art technologies, high-quality lean manufacturing, flexible aftermarket solutions and advanced monitoring services.
