Frankfurt/Main – The shareholders of M.M.Warburg & CO Hypothekenbank AG, namely M.M.Warburg & CO (AG & Co.) KGaA (60%) and Landeskrankenhilfe V.V.a.G. (40%), have sold all their shares in Warburg Hypothekenbank to Münchener Hypothekenbank eG. M.M.Warburg & CO intends to focus on its core business segments of Private Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Asset Management going forward. The bank will continue to handle real estate project financing by expanding its debt funds for institutional investors. Details of the sale were not disclosed. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the relevant authorities and the consent of MünchenerHyp’s Delegates Meeting.

Warburg Hypothekenbank offers its clients commercial real estate financing, with a focus on residential, office and retail properties in Germany. The total assets of Warburg Hypothekenbank amounted to around EUR 1.8 billion as at 30 June 2022.
