Hamburg – Integrated energy supplier LichtBlick SE has acquired all the shares in solargrün GmbH, Saulheim, a company that specialises in developing ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations. The acquisition provides LichtBlick with access to solargrün’s entire solar portfolio comprising around 100 projects with a total output of 3,000 MW. Solargrün becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of LichtBlick with immediate effect, although it will remain an independent company. The two companies have worked together closely in the past.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Holger Kraft, lead principal counsel Matthias Sethmann and senior associate Dr Carl-Friedrich Thoma advised solargrün on all legal aspects of the deal. In addition to due diligence, a particular focus of the advice was on the transaction and the associated support.
The advice was provided in close conjunction with Green Giraffe Advisory, which acted as financial advisor.
