Stuttgart – Planted Foods AG, the Swiss food tech pioneer for plant-based meat made exclusively from natural ingredients, is investing further in capacity expansion with a new production facility in southern Germany.
A CMS team led by lead partner Volker Zerr provided Planted with comprehensive advice on property, company, employment and tax law.
Green technology is playing a central role in the construction of the new plant. With the aim of producing as close and locally to consumers as possible, Planted has now decided to open another production site in Memmingen, Bavaria, Germany. The site of an old brewery is being revitalised to create the most modern European production facility for plant-based meat. This will lead Planted to create more than 50 technical and operational jobs at the Memmingen site and produce more than 20 tonnes of plant-based meat per day in the medium term. The new production facility will open at the end of Q1 2025.
