Munich – Freudenberg Home and Cleaning GmbH, an international supplier of branded cleaning products and systems as well as laundry care products, has acquired VERMOP Salmon GmbH, a German manufacturer of cleaning systems. Based in Gilching near Munich, VERMOP Salmon GmbH produces and distributes professional products and modular cleaning systems. The international company can look back on more than 90 years of history. Its products are used in building cleaning, in hotels, hospitals and airports, in the consumer sector and in modern households. In addition to the main site in Gilching, VERMOP Salmon also has a production facility in Wertheim (Baden-Württemberg). The shares in the company were sold in an auction process. The parties agreed not to disclose details of the purchase price.
An international CMS team headed by partner Richard Mitterhuber and principal counsel Dr Thomas Mühl advised the two VERMOP Salmon shareholders on all legal aspects of selling their shares. The advice also included the sale of the business premises as well as 13 German and foreign subsidiaries.
