Complex Claims Handling - Seminar Programme for 2021/2022

Past event
08 February 2022, 09:30 - 10:30 UTC +00:00

We are pleased to invite you to a series of seminars for 2021/22 delivered by the CMS Financial Lines Insurance Team.

A key theme observed by our team over recent years is the growing complexity of Financial Lines claims and the coverage and defence issues that arise. Informed by that insight, our programme of seminars for the next 12 months will cover anticipated trends in Financial Lines claims, such as directors’ liability for corporate insolvencies and claims against asset managers, and draws on claims-handling case studies which in our experience increasingly involve multi-jurisdictional and sector-specialist legal issues.

We will be covering the following topics as part of this programme, each of which will be delivered as a live webinar:

20 July 2021 - Claims against Directors arising from Insolvency (legislative framework, types of insolvency claims, and defences).

5 October 2021 - Handling Complex Coverage Issues (key legal issues and practical guidance for handling a complex coverage investigation).

9 November 2021 - Claims against Asset Managers (lessons learned in handling asset manager claims across a range of case studies).

8 February 2022 - Class Actions in the UK (claim trends, routes for class-action claims in UK, defences and coverage issues).

15 March 2022 - Cyber and Data Breach Claims (claim trends, defence and mitigation strategies and coverage issues).

We hope you can join us for this programme of seminars and please do feel free to contact us with any questions. We will be adding additional topics throughout the year so please look out for further emails.
